LaBet Pritchard

Retreat Host

Hi!  I’m LaBet Pritchard and this gathering has been on my heart for 2 years now!  The place where what the world needs and where my passion and talents intersect is when my calling lies.  Well my calling is to create ways for women to connect and bond intergenerationally, to envision the magic and mystery of life, to grow by getting out of our comfort zones, and most importantly to have fun!
Historically, I have been a fitness trainer for 30 years, a yoga therapist, a laughter yoga teacher, a social studies teacher, a Yoga of Recovery 12-Step facilitator, a Shinrin Yoku guide,a Camino pilgrimage souljourner, a rites of passage mentor, and a labyrinth facilitator.  I have taught vision board workshops and led recovery retreats in North Carolina, Mississippi and Croatia.  As a “home free” nomad, I was drawn to Wimberley as a workamper and John Knox Ranch has become a place that calls my soul.  This retreat evolved on it’s own as I opened to receive all the juicy ideas that came to me through so many women from serendipitous connections!  I am so excited to see the magic that synchronistically comes during this weekend and welcome you to the Crone’s Playhouse and Red Tent Temple!  Namaste Anam Cara Ubuntu

Janet Farnsworth

Red Tent Guide and Body Empowerment Coach

Janet Farnsworth, author of  the #1 Amazon Best Seller “LOVE YOUR BODY:  The Guide to Stop Making Your Body a Battleground”, inspires women to bust through old beliefs of shame and blame and instead, connect to their bodies as a source of wisdom, pleasure, and joy.   Based on “The Practice of Now: Let Love Move You” - a movement-therapy practice to heal and nurture our relationships with our bodies - “LOVE YOUR BODY” is How-To for any woman who is ready to feel empowered and at peace with all she is, and all she can become.

A personal survivor of the blame game, Janet currently resides in Austin, Texas, where she enjoys the challenge of finding ways to wake up each morning and be glad to be in the body she actually has, particularly the stretch marks on her stomach and the cellulite on her thighs.

Janet also loves being a part of the Austin Red Tent, which she and Jamie Waggoner helped found in 2012.  A collaborative space for sisterhood, the Red Tent has become one of Janet’s primary sanctuaries of love, power and nourishment.  She is thrilled to offer one at “Maiden, Mother, Crone”.

Don’t Miss Out

Join LaBet Pritchard, a Seasons of Life Guide, as we explore together the personal stories that connect our minds, bodies, and spirits to enrich the collective journey we share as women maidens, mothers, and crones!

Following the stages of life, rites of passage, and seasons of the year, the weekend will unfold through yoga, meditation, fire ceremony, music/dancing/drumming, labyrinth walk, mini-vision quest, journaling, soul collage, archery and trust-building games, Red Tent and Croning rituals, completed by nourishment to integrate and honor our womanhood/sisterhood.  This intergenerational bonding welcomes women of all ages whether you have just begun or ceased your menses.

Lodging and Gathering Spaces

We will be lodging in the Duplex Cabins. The cabins have a queen bed, and 2 sets of bunk beds on each side, and are divided by double doors. Each side has a private bath. These cabins are heated and air conditioned, and have a spacious back porch with a view of the wooded landscape.

The duplexes offer a measure of comfort for guests who prefer to sleep indoors; thus, they are perfect for all kinds of retreats, girls’ and guys’ weekends, and family reunions. The duplexes are located quite close to Oak Commons, which offers a nice meeting space.

Oak Commons accommodates approximately 30-40 people. This space is perfect for both meeting and/or dining. It has a fireplace, an expansive back porch, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, Wi-Fi, and AC/heat.

The Pavilion Area at John Knox Ranch is quite expansive and adjoins a large open area that includes the Blanco River. This area is perfect for meals, but also for outdoor gatherings, recreation and events.
